Klara Blazek is a graphic designer and researcher currently based in London. Her independent practice interrogates the tension between location and identity, utilizing maps and fictional narratives to question existing labels and physical borders. She advocates for self-investigation through design, and develops methods to create alternative personal geographies, which incorporate a more nuanced definition of where a person is “from.”
Klara’s commercial background is in branding, designing visual identities, and print/digital marketing materials for clients in the non-profit, real estate, health, and media sectors. Her clients include The Tisch Research Center of New York and Smash Cut Reviews, and she has previously worked at Halstead Development Marketing and The Food Group at Meredith Corporation.
